Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present an analytic performance evaluation of the complex cepstrum and bicepstrum (i.e. cepstrum of the bispectrum) methods by providing explicit expressions of the bias and variance of cepstrum parameters. A model consisting of a deterministic signal in additive white Gaussian noise and finite length data is assumed. The authors compare a special case of these results and find the range of SNR in which they expect the bicepstrum method to perform better than the complex cepstrum method
