Abstract
The design of the LTE physical layer is heavily influenced by the requirements for high peak transmission rate (100 Mbps DL/50 Mbps UL), spectral efficiency and designed to have wider channels up to 20MHz. Unfortunately, different constraints have a strong influence on system performance such as the velocity of user equipment and effect of multipath channel. In this paper, we carry out a performance evaluation of downlink LTE system for orthogonal frequency division multiple accesses (OFDMA) under LTE parameters. Different schemes of LTE configuration are described and simulated. Simulation result shown that the system performance is increased when the system is adapted to the state of the transmission channel.
