Abstract
Summary form only given. It has been shown that a combined transmission-line model (TLM) and domain decomposition (DD) approach can reduce simulation times when carrying out coupled circuit time-stepped analysis of induction machines. It has also been shown that use of an eddy-current approach offers a greater reduction in time when compared to standard coupled circuit approaches. This paper applies TLM to time-stepped eddy current machine analysis and investigates the added complexities when combining DD with an eddy current approach.
