Abstract
An adaptive multiband detector that is based on the principle of the generalized-likelihood-ratio test (GLR) is presented. Its detection performance is studied and compared with that of the corresponding single-band GLR detector. The adaptive multiband detector is shown to be able to outperform the single-band significantly under the equal-energy constraint, especially in severely nonstationary and/or inhomogeneous environments
