Abstract
A description is given of ADS (ALPS design system), a completely integrated environment for signal processing systems design. ADS provides complete designer interaction at each level of migration from algorithmic specification to hardware simulation and finally to systems integration. This design environment offers a closed-loop method for development and implementation of a high-performance signal processing computer. The target methodology for ADS is ALPS (alternate low-level primitive structures), a self-synchronizing, self-scheduling, distributed control architecture
