Abstract :
The present paper demonstrates a possibility to carry out measurements of fresh ice thickness, and enumerates existing obstacles and shows the ways of their overcoming. The block diagram of a measuring instrument with frequency modulation of the radiated signal providing demanded measurements is considered and results of experimental check are presented.
