            Abstract :
Summary form only given. The mid-frequency disturbance (1/spl sim/3 kHz) due to disk flutter with higher rotational speed becomes one of the major contributors to TMR. The disturbance shows as slim and high spikes in the spectrum but is non-synchronous to the rotation. This paper presents a dual-stage control design with peak filter to reject mid-frequency disturbance. The technique of state initialization is proposed to improve transient response when the peak filter is switched on.
