Title :
Thermal analysis of magneto-optic printing of servo patterns

            Abstract :
Summary form only given. Magnetic printing with a permeable master pattern provides a suitable reference for self-servowriting a higher density, final servo pattern for disk drives. Certain constraints of that method must be observed. Another technique based upon magneto-optical methods avoids those constraints and gives good reference patterns, but different challenges arise in delivery of the thermal energy by laser pulses.
