Abstract
A basic cell with winding-coupled inductors is proposed in this paper. Then a family of interleaved converters is deduced from the basic cell for high step-up/step-down DC/DC conversions. The passive lossless clamp scheme is derived from the active clamp scheme to recycle the leakage energy and to suppress the voltage spikes caused by the inherent leakage inductance of the winding-coupled inductors. Then a series of DC/DC converters with passive lossless clamp circuits are summarized to handle the leakage energy. An interleaved winding-coupled boost converter with passive lossless clamp circuits is tested as an example to verify the effectiveness of the main ideal of this paper.
