Abstract :
Although recently we have seen many research activities on ad hoc networks, majority among them are based on simulations. This paper proposes a general ad hoc network model and derives a statistic lower bound of link and path availability in ad hoc networks. Finally, simulation results of several commonly used mobility models are given to verify our theory. The study paves groundwork for further ad hoc network researches including ad hoc network performance analysis and routing algorithm design.
