Abstract :
The use of constant-current diodes in designing the power supply for semiconductor laser is described in this paper. According to semiconductor laser light source model and characteristics of the constant-current diodes that IH does not change with the input voltage VI in the region of constant current, the designed constant-current driving circuit is an open-loop structure which reduces the pulse fluctuations of conventional closed-loop feedback current source and improves the response speed. Through 13 MHz pulse test, it is proved that the use of constant-current diode to design the semiconductor laser constant power supply is feasible.
