Abstract
This work investigates medical sterilization using plasma jet. An open-air coaxial plasma generator is designed and utilized to generate plasma jet using helium as the operating gas. The result of sterilization is evaluated using E. coli DH5. Our results show that the plasma jet produced by our system is effective on sterilization against bacteria. The sterilization outcomes are affected by the operating distance, treatment time, and velocity of helium gas flow.
