  • Abstract
    In this study a biomechanical model of a passive biped is developed for the study of its cyclic movement. Two continuous contact force models, consisting of a ground reaction force and a friction force, are implemented to simulate the interaction of the biped´s feet with the ground. This model is used in conjunction with an optimization routine to determine the biped´s limit cycle.
