Abstract
This paper presents a PDM control for conditioning the harmonic distortion generated by an ac/ac converter consisting of a three-phase diode rectifier and a series resonant inverter. This conditioning consists in converting the harmonic distortion due to PDM operation of the inverter into high frequency pairs of harmonics. As a result of this condition, the control is simple to implement, the power transfer is linearized, it leads to optimized values of power-factor and makes it possible to better use the ac-source parasitic inductance in the power factor correction. Simulation results and experimental results from an 2 kW - 110 kHz are presented.
