Abstract :
This paper shows how to utilize the adjustable fractional delay Farrow structure for simultaneous estimation of gain, delay, and offset differences between two discrete-time signals with samples taken from the same underlying continous- time signal. The idea is to minimize the averaged squared difference between the sample sequences employing two well known minimization methods, steepest descent and Newton´s method. A comparison with respect to complexity and performance is provided.
