Abstract
This paper discusses about a new approach proposed to develop accurate and fast models that can be used for CAD simulator. The approach is based on the use of the neural network. Neural-network computational modules have recently gained recognition as an unconventional and useful tool for RF and microwave modeling and design. Neural networks can be trained to learn the behavior of passive/active components/circuits. The neural network models for microwave filters are developed and are presented. In the design of neural network model for filters, the values of filter coefficients are obtained given the specifications of the filter. Utilizing the trained networks the circuits have been also optimized to certain specifications.
