Abstract :
In order to obtain partial discharge (PD) measurements under impulse voltage, a PD measuring probe based on a current transducer was constructed. In this paper, the transfer function of the current transducer was proposed, and bode plot simulated the effect of changing some of variables, then by selecting magnetic cores and optimizing chief parameters, a PD measuring probe has both wide bandwidth and high sensitivity was gained. Calibration results and measuring PD of needle-plate model under impulse voltage demonstrated that the developed current transducer can reproduce the actual waveform of the discharge current accurately.
