Abstract :
Summary form only given. This study is to determine the configuration of the slider by introducing a reduced basis concept in order to eliminate the problems caused by the large dependence of the computing time upon the number of design variables. To validate the suggested design methodology, the optimizations of air-bearing surface (ABS) are executed for several target flying heights.
