  • Abstract
A novel method for obtaining of the radio images of extended objects is proposed. The method is based on the frequency dependence of the axially-symmetric Fresnel-zone plate focusing behavior. Transmitting antenna is placed on the axis of the imaging system within the non-transparent first Fresnel-zone before the axially symmetric Fresnel-zone plate lens. The receiver matrix is placed on the focal surface of the axially-symmetric lens. So the reflected signals for the various points of the object cross-section are received simultaneously in focal receiver matrix. The signals of various frequencies are used for varying the distance between the observed cross-section of the object and the receiver matrix. The example of a technical implementation of the proposed method is considered. The potential characteristics of the suggested technique are evaluated numerically.
