Abstract
The combination of tight confinement and low attenuation in optical fiber enables moderate-power fiber-based nonlinear optical processing functions such as frequency shifting, phase conjugation, sub-rate sampling, regeneration, continuously variable delay, and phase-sensitive amplification.
