Abstract :
Summary form only given. Bismuth substituted yttrium iron garnet (Bi-YIG) is a very attractive material for magneto-optical applications. The authors have been studying the preparation process and applications of Bi-YIG nanoparticles and their coating films. In this study, we introduce hybridized materials which are constructed from the Bi-YIG nanoparticle and plastic materials which are used for optical fibers. We estimated the magnetic and magneto-optical properties of the Bi-YIG nanoparticle and plastic hybridized material.
