Abstract
The dynamic of total received energy for a single UWB pulse is analyzed, and the relation between channel parameters and the dynamic is given. This analysis provides an explanation to the measurement result in Moe and Scholtz [1998] that the dynamic of UWB pulse is relatively low in comparison with conventional narrow band signal.
