  • Abstract
A new type of magnetic sensor formed from a metal/high-T/sub c/ superconductor contact with the ultrasonic bonding method is proposed. The structure of this sensor is very simple and easy to fabricate. The sensitivity of the sensor is estimated to be 5*10/sup -5/ Omega /G. No hysteresis can be observed below Hc1. The anisotropic effect of the contact resistance is observed. The resistance is changed by the magnetic field parallel to the contact surface, while it is not changed by the field transverse to the surface. The anisotropic effect of the resistance was analyzed and the angle of the magnetic field was determined by the DC signals of two magnetic sensors and their angle differentials. The differentiation of the resistance by the perturbing small field gives the magnetic field direction.<>
