Abstract
Some channel assignment strategies currently used in cellular mobile communication systems are discussed. A new dynamic channel assignment strategy called globe optimized dynamic channel-assignment (GODCA) with channel reallocation is proposed as the basis of existing channel-assignment strategies. Computer simulation of GODCA with channel reallocation showed that GODCA with channel reallocation showed that GODCA with channel reallocation can overcome some disadvantages existing in conventional dynamic channel assignment strategies and result in a lower blocking probability as traffic load reaches heavy volumes in a cellular mobile communication system
