Abstract
Enterprises own the core competitive advantage is to manage the useful information, including image management. Logo design is the direct presentation of image, which compares with competitors´ products and design. Strong logo image can build the enterprise´s spirit and affect the customers´ first impression of the enterprise. Logo design is the project defined as the transfer of information from a source to a receiver. The logo design knowledge-aid system is to accomplish this design process efficiently and effectively. The design knowledge-aid system is committed to find and provide two cognitive models by which logo design can be enhanced. These models include top-down and bottom-up cognitive models. The enterprise´s positioning analysis support to build these models and they are based on semiotics theory. Semiotics theory is also communication of reading image. These models are constructed by decision-tree to improve design research and enhance logo design effectively. Therefore, this research proposes the frameworks for incorporating logo design into knowledge-aid system. This system is based on semiotics theory and presented by the combination of cognitive models and decision tree.
