Abstract :
Scarcity of power is a common problem in developing countries like Bangladesh. The demand of fossil fuel as a conventional component for producing power, is not adequate. Merely, It is located in a region where prominent amount of solar irradiation and water flow can be accumulated for rendering power. In this paper, an integrated hybrid energy system has been discussed. This hybrid energy system consists of Photovoltaic array, small hydro plant accompanied with battery and diesel generator for backing up. For this project firstly, an operational scheme has been organized for measuring cost efficiency and renewable fraction for different inputs of solar irradiation, water flow and load profile, using software HOMER Energy. LLC (version 2.68 beta). Secondly, a dynamic model has been derived in MATLAB simulink (R2008a) with the required formulation. Finally, the simulation results are presented for proposed hybrid energy system.
