Abstract :
In this paper, a simple CAD formula is derived by synthetic asymptote for the microstrip line on localized substrate integrated artificial dielectric (L-SIAD). This formula is then applied for the design of several components, such as, an impedance transformer, a dual-band power divider, an ultra-wideband (UWB) band-pass filter, and a wide stop-band low-pass filter on L-SIAD structure. The simulation and measurement results show good agreements.
