Abstract :
This paper introduces switches based on tunable ferroelectric filters at microwave frequencies. A SPDT-switch design for the frequency range 2.4-2.5 GHz with switching contrasts of 40 dB and insertion losses below 0.5 dB is presented. Additionally, a first implementation of a 10 GHz bandpass-based SPST-switch was realized on a lossy ferroelectric-thick film of Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3. The measured switching contrast amounts to 14.4 dB with a 1 dB-bandwidth of 5.4%.
