Abstract :
This paper mainly explains an improved domain handover scheme for VoLTE (Voice over LTE) which is called eSRVCC. The scheme is considered as essential in order to ensure the carrier-grade voice call quality despite access variation, especially during the network migration phase from legacy circuit switched network to the All IP based EPS (Evolved Packet System). Such mechanisms are fully addressed in here by explain including EPC, IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and SRVCC (Single Radio Voice Call Continuity). This paper also explains currently emerged OTT (Over The Top) VoIP and compares with operators approach of VoLTE. Finally, this paper clarifies the performance improvement of eSRVCC with indicating future enhancements and application areas.
