Abstract :
Summary form only given. Nanometre fabrication techniques to form nanoscale wires, rings, and chains have been developed to understand the physical mechanism of magnetotransport properties, magnetic microstructure and its application. The magnetic domains can be well defined and controlled in a specific geometry by microfabrication technology. The shape-induced anisotropy is easily accessible by zigzag patterned Ni/sub 80/Fe/sub 20/ wires. The controlled domain structure, field and angular dependent magneto-resistivity (MR) in these wires are demonstrated.
