Abstract
This paper concerns the evolution of solar energy technologies, the use of molten salts as heat transfer fluid, and the electromagnetic pumps for molten salts. It presents the environmental and economic gains when using molten salts as heat transfer fluid and extend to large scale solar plants exploitations. Two electromagnetic pumps for molten salts are proposed as an alternative to mechanical pumps in solar plants.
