Abstract :
The linearized harmonic-balance equations are typically solved using an iterative solver, like GMRES. The efficiency of the iterative solver depends heavily on the preconditioner used. The paper presents three block preconditioners for harmonic balance Jacobians. The preconditioner can be chosen for each block separately to be either a frequency-domain or time-domain preconditioner. Simulation results showed reduction in GMRES iterations.
