Abstract :
Boost converters play an important role in renewable energy conversions applications. The smooth operation of the converters depends on the quality of switching operation and the device used. In the present work the topology of Single Phase Matrix Converter (SPMC) is proposed to achieve the desired output of single phase AC-AC Boost converter and DC-DC boost converter. Sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) techniques are utilized to implement the boost operation for AC-AC and DC-DC converters. Simulation model is made in MATLAB /Simulink environment.
