Abstract :
A high-contrast-grating (HCG) based hollow-waveguide has been proposed. Preliminary results based on full-vector-simulation have been presented, exhibiting the optical-confinement, propagation-loss and polarization-characteristics of HCG-based-hollow waveguide. An HCG-mirror can reduce temperature and polarization sensitivities of hollow-waveguides.
