Abstract
This paper describes the development of a mathematical model of a vector controlled induction machine including magnetic saturation and iron core losses. In the proposed model, a more generalized approach to induction machine modeling, which account for both iron loss and saturation, is presented. In order to verify the developed model, a start up simulation is performed. Experimental results that confirm the validity of the model is performed. Finally advantages and applications of this model are addressed.
