Abstract :
This paper presents the design and simulation of a CMOS ultra-wideband transmitter using TSMC 0.13μm CMOS technology. The operating frequency band of the transmitter is from 22 to 29 GHz for the application of UWB vehicular short-range radar (SRR). The proposed transmitter has a pulse-modulated carrier-based architecture with bi-phase modulation. The simulation results show that the power spectral density of the transmitter output complies with the FCC regulation, and has a center frequency of 25.2 GHz and a -10 dB bandwidth from 22.9 to 27.6 GHz.
