Abstract :
We demonstrate the bandwidth enhancement of a directly-modulated DFB laser and integrated-electro-absorption-modulator-laser (EML) using grating-optical-equalizer, which increases 3 dB modulation bandwidth to be over doubled. We also propose an etalon-type-equalizer for bandwidth enhancement.
