Abstract :
This paper presents a low power test bench of 6.25 (kVA) set up to validate a concept of monitoring system, based on real-time simulations. The bench is composed of a synchronous generator mechanically coupled to a DC motor, reproducing the dynamic behavior of a hydroelectric power plant. Running in real-time in parallel with the physical system, the simulation model of the test bench is validated by comparing the measurements and the simulation results during a transient case involving resistive load steps.
