Abstract :
A cascade wideband CMOS low-noise amplifier (LNA) matched with quasi T-coil networks is presented in this paper. Compared with traditional T-coil networks, quasi T-coil matching networks provide comparable wide matching operating frequency bandwidth, and are easier to design. Matched with quasi T-coil networks, a single-ended cascade common source LNA with inductive source degeneration was designed with a 0.13-μm CMOS technology and was simulated with Cadence Spectre. The simulated results show that the return losses of both input and output are better than -10 dB from 500 MHz to 16 GHz. The noise figure is lower than 4.6 dB when the operating frequency ranges from 500 MHz to 11 GHz.
