Abstract :
Intelligent transportation/traffic control systems are complex, multi server informatic systems. Designing such a system and defining the servers of the system require careful and due foresight. This paper outlines the development of traffic control systems from the informatics aspect and determines the requirements of system design as well as identifies server functions used in an ITS system.
