Abstract :
Chirp technology of a light pulse is often used in the light wave transmission to compensate for the pulse distortion due to fiber dispersion; in particular the chirped Bragg fiber grating as a potential dispersion compensator is attractive. In this paper based on the time-space analogy theory, we discuss the effect of chirp on light pulse propagation in detail. This discussion will be helpful for the design of chirped Bragg fiber gratings
