Abstract
The validity of the slow fading assumption used in previous analyses of tone calibration techniques (TCT) is examined. TCT systems previously proposed will produce an error floor, albeit a very low one. The requirements for the elimination of the error floor are examined, and the error floor produced in a typical TCT system is studied. Monte Carlo integration techniques are used to evaluate integrals containing the isotropic fading spectrum
