Abstract
Today´s technology hungry society demands the most from consumer items, most of all from the automotive industry. With environmental stewardship as the driving factor in many new motor vehicle purchases today, research into innovative and efficient drivetrain technology is the focus of the automotive industry. The material presented herein discusses the design intent and implementation of a low-cost system-level ¿Hyper-Cycling¿ Series Hybrid Electric Vehicle. The intent of the vehicle was that of a design exercise in pushing the boundaries of practical systems while validating certain theoretical ideals in personal transportation.
