Using Ontologies for improvement of tacit knowledge´s flow in an enterprise

Organisational knowledge as an essential asset has a critical role in accomplishment of organisation´s activities and achieving its goals. Among different kinds of knowledge that exist in an organisation, the tacit knowledge which contains the experiments of past activities has the most important role in avoiding the repetition of previous mistakes. At the other hand, this kind of knowledge due to its mental and hard-to-formalize nature is not very manageable. In this paper we will have a closer look at the knowledge cycle between organisational memory and business processes, and then by defining an intermediate layer consist of different ontologies we try to increase not only the organisation´s flexibility in defining dynamic work groups but also the reusability of available tacit knowledge. Using this set of ontologies the storage and retrieval of new experiments to/from organisational memory will be facilitated too.
