            Abstract : 
Summary form only given. An important problem in the electric power industry is the deterioration of distribution lines. We have proposed a nondestructive detection system for the deterioration in a distribution line by measuring the magnetic field around the distribution line when it is live. We examine the distribution of the magnetic field around a line using a search coil in a laboratory experiment.
