Towards a UDDI based semantic solution for the e-business

Openness and outsourcing are nowadays paramount needs for the modern company. In this context, mechanisms of secured information exchange and interoperability of the heterogeneous systems are necessary. The Web services, thanks to their simplicity and their standards, prove today a new technology adapted to the e-business. However, the re-use of services in this context requires the consideration of aspects related to the composition, the selection and the adaptability to changes of services. It also requires the consideration of the exchanged data semantics and the functional capacities of the partners. In this paper, we propose an architecture of a Web services based platform for e-business, which contributes to this objective.
