            Abstract :
A double-routed power receiving and distribution system for use in the Chiyoda, Japan, telecommunications center is described. The advanced LXM (subscriber line cross-connect module) in the Chiyoda telecommunications center switches 100000 subscribers and consumes several times more power than conventional equipment. This system consists of: twin power receiving panel (PRP); low-voltage transfer panel (LTP); and power system supervision and control equipment (PS SVC). When one of the two commercial sources fails, the self-determining functions of the PRP and LTP automatically switches to another commercial source. When both of the two commercial sources fail, the receiving and distribution panels controlled by the PS SVC provide backup power from two gas-turbine generators
