Abstract :
Code-division multiple access (CDMA) has been proposed to increase the radio capacity in the personal and mobile radio communication systems. Power control is used to solve the “near-far” problem in the reverse link and to raise the radio capacity in the forward link of a CDMA system. In general, the power control system estimate the short term average SIR. This paper shows a feedback power control project which not only estimate the short term SIR, but also estimate the future required transmitted power. The estimated model using the weight-value map is proposed. An adaptive filter is used to realize the estimation. The new MS (mobile station) traffic model is used, which assumes the MS acceleration is a stationary white Gaussian distribution random process. Some simulation results are also presented
