Abstract :
An outline of the ETS-V/EMSS (experimental mobile satellite system using engineering test satellite-V) aeronautical communication experiments is presented, and the results are discussed. A description of the system´s hardware and characteristics is also provided. A fading effect due to reflection has not been observed, and the variation in received signal level is generally very small
