            Abstract : 
Some recent developments in electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials are discussed. Finite element analysis (FEA) concepts and techniques for assisting EMI shielding gasket design are introduced. A design optimization of a composite plastic/elastomer gasket for EMI shielding of an advanced cellular telephone handset application is presented
